Children with special needs deserve to have access to an equal level of education with their peers. In fact, the Individuals With Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA) guarantees this right to a free education. If you or your child have not gotten the support your child needs from their school district or school, then you need a special education lawyer.
At the Law Office of Mark W. Voigt in Plymouth Meeting, PA, I have personally represented many parents throughout Philadelphia, PA, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. I work at both the state and federal levels to represent you against the public school district.
What Do I Assist You With?
Your child with special needs will often receive an individualized education program (IEP) that takes their needs into account and makes special considerations for them. If you never received an IEP or have an inadequate IEP, then I can help by reviewing the IEP or any multi-disciplinary evaluations. I also attend IEP and multi-disciplinary team meetings on your behalf.
I will represent you during eligibility evaluations and determinations. These can deal with concerns such as if your child is eligible for an extended school year (ESY). I will also represent you regarding §504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. If you have any other concerns, I am available to meet with you to discuss if you have a case and need representation.
Why Should You Choose Me?
I have years of experience as a practicing special education attorney and have represented many individuals with children who have a variety of special needs. Over the years, I have often represented students on the autism spectrum and students who have ADHD. I am passionate about my work and will aggressively represent you and your child so that they have access to free appropriate public education.
